Privacy Policy

Applies to FlowShift for Android, version 1.0.0 (application ID com.flowshift.app).

Effective date: 3 August 2026 · Last updated: 3 August 2026

In short: FlowShift does not collect, transmit or share any personal data. The release build does not request the Android INTERNET permission, so the game cannot make network requests at all. Your progress and settings are saved only on your own device.

This policy describes exactly how the FlowShift Android application ("FlowShift", "the game", "we") handles information. It was written against the actual shipping source code and the release Android manifest, not from a template, and it is kept in step with the technical audit in the project repository.

1. Who is responsible

FlowShift is published by Awaiz Ahmed. For any privacy question, or to exercise any right described below, contact hello@kanbanstudios.ae.

2. Data we collect

We collect nothing. FlowShift has no account system, no sign-in, no registration, no user profile and no server. We do not receive, see or store any information about you or your device.

The release build declares no Android runtime permissions. In particular it does not request internet access, network state, storage, camera, microphone, location, contacts, notifications, the advertising ID, or billing. The absence of the INTERNET permission is enforced by the Android operating system: the game is technically incapable of sending data anywhere.

3. Data stored on your device

FlowShift saves your game state locally using Android's standard SharedPreferences storage, inside the app's own private sandbox. No other application can read it. This data never leaves your device by any action of the game.

Stored on device What it is
Level progress Which levels you have completed, stars earned, best score, best chain and best perfect-fit ratio per level
Currency and unlocks Coins, shards, unlocked Flow Core skins, the skin you have equipped, and your best endless run
Settings Sound, music, haptics, control mode, reduced motion, camera shake and graphics quality

None of this is personal data. It contains no name, no email address, no device identifier, no advertising ID and nothing that could identify you.

You can erase all of it at any time from Settings → Reset all progress inside the game, or by uninstalling the app.

4. Android system backup

This is the one way the data described above may leave your device, and it is a feature of Android rather than of FlowShift.

FlowShift participates in Android's standard backup and device-transfer system so that your progress survives switching to a new phone. If — and only if — you have enabled backup in your Android settings, the operating system may copy the saved values listed in section 3 to your own Google account, or transfer them directly to a new device you set up.

That copy is made and held by Google under Google's Privacy Policy, not by us. We have no access to it and receive no notification of it. You can disable this in your device's backup settings.

5. Advertising and analytics

This build contains no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK and no crash reporting SDK. There is no AdMob or Google Mobile Ads, no Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics, no Facebook SDK, no AppsFlyer, no Unity Ads, no IronSource, no AppLovin and no Sentry. No advertising identifier is read, and no tracking of any kind takes place.

For transparency: the source code contains an internal interface where an advertising or purchase provider could be added in a future version. In this release that interface is wired to an implementation that does nothing, no such SDK is bundled in the application package, and the feature is disabled. If advertising or analytics are ever introduced, this policy will be updated before that version is published, and a consent prompt will be shown where the law requires one.

6. Third parties

We share no data with anyone, because we hold none.

The application is built on Flutter and uses three open-source packages — for audio playback, local storage and vector mathematics. All three run entirely on the device and none of them transmit data.

Distribution itself is handled by Google Play. When you install or update any app, Google Play collects information under its own policies — including installation records and, if you have opted in, automatic crash and performance reports through Android vitals. That processing is Google's and is described in Google's Privacy Policy. Any crash statistics we might see through the Play Console are aggregated and anonymous.

7. Children

FlowShift is a non-violent arcade game suitable for a general audience. It collects no data from anyone, of any age, so it collects no data from children. There is no advertising, no in-app messaging, no social feature and no external link inside the game itself.

8. Your rights

Data-protection laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights of access, correction, deletion and portability over personal data held about you. Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, export or delete.

The game data stored on your device is entirely under your control and can be cleared through the in-game reset described in section 3, through Android's "Clear storage" option for the app, or by uninstalling.

9. Security

Because no data is transmitted or held remotely, there is no server to breach and no dataset to expose. Locally saved data is protected by Android's per-application sandbox and by whatever device encryption and lock screen you have configured.

10. Changes to this policy

If a future version of FlowShift changes what it stores or introduces any component that transmits data, this policy will be updated and the "Last updated" date above changed, before that version is released. Material changes will also be noted in the release notes for that version.
